Biography
Daria Sergeevna Bylieva has been working at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University since 2003 and is a recognized expert in the socio-humanitarian analysis of the digital environment. Her research interests cover the philosophy of technology, the societal impact of artificial intelligence, semiotics, virtual reality, and digital ethics. Her research work is reflected in more than 250 publications. In 2025, her monograph «The philosophical challenge and the ontolytic effect of artificial intelligence» was published, which provides a comprehensive analysis of AI technology.
Daria Bylieva is actively involved in scientific organization. She is the initiator and Editor of the international journal «Technology and Language», which was included in the Scopus database in 2023. Since 2018, she has been the organizer of the annual international conference «Professional Culture of the Specialist of the Future» and the scientific editor of its proceedings, published in the «Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems» series by Springer.
Daria Bylieva has acted as a lecturer for a series of educational programs on artificial intelligence and other digital technologies, a commentator on these topics in news and publicistic programs, and an expert in several films and shows. Notably, in 2023, the documentary «Neural Network» aired on the «Kultura» television channel, featuring her insights on the role of AI in modern society, and in 2021, the film «New Parenthood» included her commentary on the influence of digital technologies on the younger generation.
