Wu Guolin is a Professor and Chair of Philosophy at South China University of Technology (SCUT), serving as Director of the Institute for Advanced Study of Philosophy & Technology, a Guangdong Provincial Key Research Base. His research spans philosophy of physics, analytic philosophy of technology, and quantum hermeneutics. He is known for original contributions including the concept of the «trans-empirical» (trans-empirisch) as a novel philosophical category, a systemic model of technical artefacts, and the emerging research program of quantum hermeneutics. Recognized as a National Leading Theoretical Talent (Four Batches, 2019), he has led major grants from the Ministry of Education («Trends in Contemporary Philosophy of Technology,» 2011−2017) and the National Social Science Fund («Contemporary Quantum Hermeneutics,» 2019-). He has authored over 170 articles and more than 20 monographs.
